I now find that I can't like this video. I prefer to remain in a world where the star wars cannon is limited to a book series and 6 films - of which only 4 films are good and the rest is pretty iffy.

Hi Clint! Actually, because we are thankfully on RUclips, when you started talking about the exciting topic I didn't quite catch the name of, I immediately went back and looked at the printed words you had on the top of the screen and hit pause so I could read it as slowly and as many times as I wanted.
    Yes.
I AM a geek like that.
I also would have stayed after class to ask what the word was because it sounded like something that would be on a test on top of being cool.
I got to meet teachers and professors this way and was often asked to share my notes with sick students who had missed class.
    I wasn't really a suck-up, I just really love information.

I totally agree that the way you inform is the better way for people to remember terminology. And that method, indeed, helps me remember terms.
But can you explain why the same method absolutely does not help me remember names? And absolutely no memory method I've yet heard or read helps me remember names? Only repetition over time commits names to my long term storage and even that doesn't guarantee I will be able to recall them in direct conversation.

BTW, it's even worse when someone says the name of a concept / process / person once at the beginning of a conversation & then repeatedly says "it" or "he" or "she" or "they" over & over & over & over.... just avoiding pronouns for new / important concepts helps a lot.

“Rogue One” was cool, it was different in that it was made more in the vein of a war movie than any of the other “Star Wars” movies. My only problem with it that it’s troubled production seemed clear to me in both the cinematography (a lot of tight shots that I’m guessing were used to disguise the fact they couldn’t rebuild the sets for reshoots) and in that some plot elements that seemed extraneous.
I also enjoyed “The Force Awakens” quite a bit. My biggest complaint at the time with that movie is that I walked out of the theater forgetting the name “Kylo Ren,” which is a fail. You don’t walk out of the original “Star Wars” forgetting the name “Darth Vader.” For one thing, he should have been mentioned in the opening crawl. In addition, I appreciated how they TRIED in “The Last Jedi” to mirror the duel plot line approach of “The Empire Strikes Back,” but still subvert the audience’s expectations at every turn, but I’ll agree it was lackluster, and didn’t flow naturally with “The Force Awakens,” leaving “The Rise of Skywalker” to try and clean up the mess. I think “The Rise of Skywalker” is unduly maligned, I liked it better than any of the prequels for sure, but certainly not what I’d have hoped for as the ending of the trilogy.
